The process of registering new .RS Internet domains was initiated in Serbia on 10 March 2008.
The process of transition from .YU domains to .RS domains, with the Priority right when registering the same .RS domain names, ended on 10 September 2008.
It was possible to renew the registration of current .YU domains until 4 May 2009. Registration renewal means that renewed .YU domains will be active on the Internet until 30 September 2009.
FINAL DEACTIVATION OF THE .YU DOMAIN
Maintaining the .YU domain register and propagating information on .YU domains on the Internet will cease on 30 September 2009, regardless of the renewal date.

Consequences: After 30 September 2009, all .YU domains will stop functioning on the Internet! If you do not register and activate a new national domain (.rs, co.rs, org.rs, etc.) and/or an international domain (com, net, org, etc.), your Website and electronic mail will stop functioning on the Internet, as of that day. |
