03/06/2020

The meeting of ICANN’s Country Code Name Supporting Organization (ccNSO) was the setting for a presentation of the mechanisms used to protect rights within the .rs and .срб domain spaces. Speaking on the topic during the virtual meeting of the organisation’s members was acting director of the Register of National Internet Domain Names of Serbia Foundation (RNIDS), Dejan Đukić, who outlined the legal protection system that RNIDS has put in place and presented relevant practice in this area so far.

During the presentation Dejan Đukić explained in detail all three of the protection mechanisms employed by RNIDS, those being the arbitration procedure for the resolution of domain name-related disputes, the procedures for complaints relating to domain name registration rules and the procedures laid down regarding the disclosure of data not available via WHOIS search.

The ccNSO sessions were held 2nd June under the title Virtual ccTLD News Sessions, by way of a warm-up event for the upcoming 68th Policy Forum.
